AVALOKITESVARA. The bodhisattva Avalokitesvara (Chenrezig), who represents the  compassion of all the Buddhas, has vowed never to enter Nirvana until all sentient beings achieve enlightment. The meditation practice of Avalokitesvara awakens our compassion.  AVALOKITESVARA'S mantra is:

MEDICINE BUDDHA. The source of all illness is the three poisons - ignorance, desire, and anger (or hatred). Medicine Buddha brings healing for the body, mind, and spirit of all beings. Vajrasattva meditation is very beneficial for the confession and purification of sins. The most appropriate time to practice this meditation is at night, before going to sleep.
