What is Buddhism Series: The Five Aggregates

  • Ecumenical Buddhist Society (map)

Monday April 23rd at 7:00 pm

To follow the path of the Buddha, we must abandon clinging.  In the Buddha’s teachings the five aggregates, or skandhas, are described as the source of this clinging.  What are the aggregates and how do we work with them? In the second installment of the “What is Buddhism” series, Doug Holmes will lead a discussion on the aggregates: body, feelings, perceptions, volitions, and sense-consciousness.  We will discuss what the aggregates are, how they influence us, how we can recognize their activity in our daily lives, and how we can work with them constructively instead of allowing them to lead us by the nose.  If you have any questions please contact Doug Holmes (doug.holmes.42@gmail.com)
